The design label Tonone was founded in 2013 by designer Anton de Groof and is based in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. Tonone's design team collaborates with local artisans to produce their products. Sustainability, efficiency, and logistics are all considered during the design and production process of the Tonone collection.

Tonone Lamp

How can we apply our fascination with traditional mechanics and artisanal tools in state-of-the-art design? This inquiry served as the starting point for Tonone's lighting label, known for using characteristic construction elements as visual and functional bases for innovative product design.

This vision was well illustrated by the design of the first Tonone lineup: the Bolt series, quickly followed by the rugged Mr. Tubes lamp, the hand-blown glass series Atlas and Ella. In 2018, Tonone introduced the LED series Beads followed by the revamped Mr. Tubes LED in 2019. In 2022, Tonone introduced the Bella in Rotterdam, and later that year, the ONE series was launched. In early 2024, Tonone launched the LED pendant lamp Bridge.

In 2022, Tonone welcomed a new member into the Tonone family with Bella. Bella is designed to steal the show. Yes, it's a lamp. But even without light, it stands out in the interior. Place it on your sideboard to give the design table lamp full attention. Or place it on your side table for a subtle design element in your interior. Thanks to its powerful silhouette, Bella is the perfect candidate for a modern, industrial, and classic interior.

Together with the table lamp Bella, we also introduce the design pendant lamp, Bella Pendant, designed with the same philosophy but as a pendant lamp. And hanging, she does it best. Above the dining table with her sisters from the same series, or as a complement to the kitchen island alongside the futuristic Mr. Tubes LED or the industrial Beads. Bella effortlessly combines, but shines just as brightly on her own as the centerpiece of your interior. Bella is available in 11 Tonone colors.

Today, the design team's vision remains dedicated to applying traditional artisanal tools and mechanics in innovative lighting and lamp design.

While Anton de Groof's and his team's signature still leans towards boldness and functionality, the newly introduced lighting designs have evolved into a smart lighting concept. Even if the mechanics used are not visible, Tonone's signature is still recognized in every subsequent step of the lighting design.

Dutch Design Lamp

Tonone is a true Dutch design label, originating from the Netherlands. The industrial and minimalist design, typical of Dutch Design, is evident throughout Tonone's entire collection.

We strive to make the lamps as local as possible. The steel comes from Oisterwijk, and the coating of the fixtures is done in Kaatsheuvel. Assembly takes place just 400 meters from our office in the Gruyterfabriek in 's-Hertogenbosch. This makes our lamps officially 'made in Holland.'

What Types of Lamps does Tonone Offer?

Tonone's design lamps have a modern and minimalist look. Tonone offers seven different series with various models of design lamps, including wall lamps, floor lamps, ceiling lamps, bedside lamps, table lamps, and desk lamps. The Bolt series has 29 models. Both the entire Bolt and Bella series come in 11 colors. Here, you can choose the design lamp that fits your interior; a beautiful green table lamp, a pink ceiling lamp, a black desk lamp, or a yellow floor lamp.

The design lamps are available in neutral colors such as black (Smokey Black), white (Pure White), or off-white (Lightning White). Dark grey (Midnight Grey), light grey (Ash Grey), and green (Flux Green) are also neutral colors that combine beautifully. Or add some color to your living room with bold orange (Striking Orange), sweet pink (Daybreak Rose), beautiful blue (Thunder Blue), ice blue (Ice Blue), or sunny yellow (Sunny Yellow).
