Black desk lamp

The place where you spend about 8 hours a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less. But enough time to make something extra of it. Yes, function is important. We too like a comfortable chair, a good desk and good coffee. Only from us, it can have a little something extra. A desk lamp, for instance. And preferably one that lights up your working day. Literally and figuratively. 

Let's start by saying: of course Tonone desk lamps are functional. They give light. They do what you expect from a lamp. Yet a Tonone has something extra. That design is what we want to talk about. Because we're talking about our Bolt. The first member of the Tonone family. Now available in many shapes, types and sizes, but once started as - yes - a desk lamp. The kind you attach to the side of your desk with a clamp. That design was so popular that Anton decided to continue with it. And we know which way that went. That first desk lamp is still there. Only now in more variants. With a clamp or with a base. A short arm, a long arm or two arms. 

And in 11 different colours. Yet they also have a lot in common. Like the open shade, which diffuses the light attractively but purposefully. And of course the wing nut. Functional if you want to adjust the arms, but above all a unique signature. 

The Bolt Smokey Black. The design is industrial. And what goes better with the industrial look than black? By now we know that the Bolt is an eye-catcher in many colours. But black was the beginning. Almost 10 years later, Smokey Black is still a winner. It doesn't go out of fashion. That is the beauty of black: it is both the old and the new black. It can be used anywhere and always remains beautiful. In a lamp, black gives a nice contrast: the light of the light source, the black of the lamp. As simple as that. 

The Bolt Smokey Black is made of powder-coated steel. This makes the material extra strong. A nice touch is the slightly rougher texture it produces. Especially in Smokey Black, this underlines the lamp's industrial look. The iconic feature of the Bolt is the wingnut. This is practical, for adjusting the lamp's arms. But it also adds a distinctive visual element. Something that makes you keep looking at 'that black lamp' just that little bit longer. Tough and elegant.  Black stands for elegance and a chic atmosphere, but it also makes an interior look tough. Combinations can be made in many ways. Make a light living room more robust by choosing a black pendant lamp or balance a colorful scene with black wall lamps. Black is perfect for contrasts: with white or with natural materials such as wood, wool and linen. 

Tonone's latest series: ONE, the portable designer lamp also feature high-quality, integrated, dimmable LED. The ONE series comes in a desk lamp, floor lamp and a wall/bed lamp and a knob. The start of ONE is the spotlight. With a built-in battery, you have a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 30 hours of light. That makes it easy to take ONE with you wherever you go. Combine ONE (spotlight) with one of the luminaires. The wall lamp has a fixed spot, the floor lamp and desk lamp can be moved around.
